Service Update

From 1 April 2026, Derbyshire Carers Association will become the new provider of the carers service in Derby City.

Derbyshire Carers Association and Universal Services for Carers are working closely together to ensure a smooth and well‑coordinated transition. Our shared priority is to make sure carers continue to receive high‑quality support, with as little disruption as possible.

During this transition period, please continue to contact Universal Services for Carers in the usual way:

All existing support, referrals and enquiries will continue to be managed as normal, and no action is required from carers at this stage.

We will keep you updated as the transition progresses and will share further information about the new service in the coming weeks. Our commitment remains the same: ensuring carers in Derby receive the support, recognition and guidance they need.
