If you’re an unpaid carer aged 18 or over caring for someone aged 18 or over in Derby City, we’re here for you—even if you:

Caring can be deeply rewarding, but it can also place a strain on your wellbeing, relationships, and day-to-day life. Support is vital—and that’s where we step in.

• One-on-one support: Share your situation with our friendly helpline team and discover how we can help.
• Peer connection: Join groups, activities, and events to connect with others facing similar caregiving journeys.
• Wellbeing resources: Access tools and services designed to protect and nurture your physical and mental health.
• Benefits & advocacy guidance: Understand your rights, including entitlements under the Care Act 2014, Carer’s Leave, and Carer’s Allowance.
• Signposting: We’ll help you find the right local services and supports when and where you need them.

If informal support isn’t enough, we can assist with a referral to Derby City Council’s adult social care team for a Carer’s Assessment—a structured look into your physical and emotional needs, goals, and eligibility for extra support like a Personal Budget from Rada Miejska Derby.
